Dear Garden Families! 8.7.24
Welcome back! I hope you had the opportunity to relax and spend time with your family. Hopefully, you had a safe and enjoyable break/time away from school. It is amazing how quickly the next year sneaks up on us! The 2024-2025 school year is now upon us and it will be a full year, as we move forward with the ever important task of preparing our students for what lies ahead. There is much ground that we need to make up, as we work to address learning loss, as well as working to reconnect students to our school, to our staff. This year will be a full year, as we all return to school. Obviously, there will be hurdles to get over, but I am hopeful that we will all work together to meet the important challenge of returning our children to school!
As your principal, I am looking forward to spending more time with students in person and in classrooms, getting to know you and our students, and continuing to improve the “Garden experience” for our students. I feel very strongly that building classroom culture, relationships, and connectedness will contribute to the well-being of our children, as well as their ability to achieve socially and academically. I understand the challenges we all face, and I am confident and optimistic that the Garden Team can make great progress together and continue the amazing work to keep this student-centered learning environment, a caring place for new members to the Gardens Family. We are excited to have you at Cordova Gardens Academy of Arts and Sciences!
School starts on Thursday August 8th at 8:15 AM; I am excited to see you all! Remember that Thursday is a 1:15 release, Friday will be a normal school day.
Breakfast in the Multi starting at 7:45. The First bell rings at 8:15, so try to get to school between 7:45 and 8:05.
